The company has global sales in filtration, automotive, medical, protective apparel, belting, hoses, composites, aerospace, etc.
The company is looking for a Vice President Sales & Marketing with a focus on filtration (non-water) as well as other products utilized in aerospace, automotive, industrials, oil & gas, mining, protective products, etc. with a focus on sales to OEM's, 3rd party value add manufacturers, distributors, etc. The company is offering a competitive base salary, bonus opportunity and very lucrative long-term incentive program. This is an in-office role in their Florida HQ with travel and will be part of the senior leadership team reporting to the President & CEO
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for providing strategic direction for the Company's Sales and Marketing program that achieves sustainable, profitable revenue growth through market expansion. They will provide leadership and direction for the sales team, including professional and personal development that will continuously improve the team's capabilities to deliver year-over year growth. The role requires an action-oriented, entrepreneurial individual with a high level of integrity; the ability to successfully develop the skills and capabilities of their direct reports; exceptional assessment and judgement skills that can effectively identify meaningful sales opportunities that have a high probability of success, and ensures effective execution of programs that build mutually beneficial customer relationships and deliver sustained business results. In addition to leading the Sales and Marketing Department, this person will be a member of the Core Senior Leadership team and have significant input to the Company's product development activities, capital investment plans and developing successful business strategies that achieve long-term objectives.
Education/Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of prior sales leadership experience in a high-value/price environment
Preferred: Technical and/or Master's degrees in Engineering, Marketing and/or Business Management
Prior experience in high-value nonwovens or technical fabrics is a plus
Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies and tactics that create sustainable and profitable revenue growth
Evaluates market opportunities, prioritizes viable nylon-based value-added propositions, and focuses sales resources on opportunities with the strongest expected return on development effort and commercial success
Improves commercial performance by applying good judgment in pricing, capacity utilization, margin protection, inventory management, working capital, and collections
Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment - fast paced, limited resources, willing to take "smart" risks, prioritizing effectively and staying focused on meaningful opportunities (persistence)
Revenue Growth and Sales Management: Utilizes data-based performance metrics, KPIs and effective analysis tools to track performance, set goals and drive programs that exceed our revenue goals. Fosters a performance-driven, results-oriented culture
Oversees marketing campaigns, collateral materials, brand positioning, trade shows, trade association relations (AFS, INDA, etc.), customer outreach programs, and any advertising campaigns to ensure marketing funds and programs support business growth programs
Builds and manages an effective "specialty" sales network by focusing internal sales resources on strategic accounts (served directly), and by utilizing third party reseller/distributors and independent sales agents effectively
Identifies and qualifies emerging market needs that may be solved using nylon based spunbond products. Able to translate market opportunities into a focused commercial development pipeline
Sales Team Leadership & Development: Assesses, mentors, and develops direct reports to improve commercial effectiveness, strengthen execution, and increase the team's ability to deliver profitable growth
Takes responsibility for prioritizing sales manager activities, R&D development programs and marketing efforts to ensure we are working on the most important (meaningful) and most likely (probable) programs
Represents the customer to the organization, effectively communicates needs, issues and opportunities and drives actions that continually improve product quality and service
Overall Company responsibility for ensuring all customer facing employees and teams are properly trained in "best of class" customer service practices
