Social Media Manager

Artist House · Los Angeles, CA, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

We're looking for a digital-first executive to join the team and exclusively own the digital strategy for one of our artists. You'll be dedicated entirely to one artist's world, embedded in their creative process, and responsible for translating that into content that grows their audience and drives real business outcomes.

Content & Social Management

Own the day-to-day content calendar across all active platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

Plan, shoot, edit, and/or source short-form and long-form content in coordination with the artist and creative collaborators

Manage posting cadence, captions, and platform-specific optimization (formats, timing, trends)

Monitor comments/DMs and community engagement; flag anything requiring management or artist attention

Translate artist briefs and commercial goals into digital plans we can run against. Work upstream with the label/mgmt to set expectations and get buy-in

Review and approve TikTok Sound timestamps to ensure the right moments are surfaced for trends and virality

Support on basic iphone content video capture as needed.

Strategy & Planning

Develop & execute rolling content strategy tied to release timelines, tour announcements, and key career moments

Identify platform trends, formats, and opportunities relevant to the artist's audience

Coordinate with lead manager on aligned messaging and asset needs

Reporting & Analytics

Deliver regular (e.g. weekly/monthly) performance reports to management: growth, engagement, top-performing content, platform-specific trends

Track KPIs against goals set with management (follower growth, engagement rate, streaming correlation, etc.)

Provide post-campaign recaps for major moments (single release, video drop, tour leg)

Fan Development

Manage fan-facing social accounts (posting, replies, community engagement) to keep the audience engaged and growing

Repurpose and distribute content across platforms (TikTok, IG, YouTube, etc.), adapting format and timing to each channel's audience

Qualifications

2+ years managing social/digital presence for an artist, brand, or public figure and/or working in digital marketing at a record label

Strong grasp of platform algorithms and native content trends (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)

Intuitive understanding of the artist landscape and what is working/what is not working

Comfortable with basic content creation/editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Canva, etc.)

Experience building and presenting performance reports/dashboards

Discretion with sensitive/unreleased material and artist brand voice

Comfortable with travel as needed, this role may require extensive time with the artist on tour, promo trips, etc.
