Overview Enterprise Mobility is excited to announce the opening of a Government and Public Affairs Director on our Corporate Government and Public Affairs team!
About The Role The Government and Public Affairs Director develops and manages relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, regulatory agencies and other key government stakeholders. This role supports the development and execution of advocacy strategies that advance the company’s public policy objectives. The Director analyzes proposed legislative and regulatory actions, collaborates with internal stakeholders to assess business impacts, and develops strategic advocacy responses. Additionally, this position monitors legislative and regulatory developments, anticipating policies that impact the organization’s business goals.

The anticipated pay for this position is $209,000 to $272,000. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.

Key Responsibilities Review and summarize proposed federal legislation and regulatory issues for potential impact
Communicate significant federal legislation and regulation to various levels of management for review and coordinating responses
Assist in the development of strategies to address federal issues and implementing those strategies
Establish and maintain effective networks and coalitions on both sides of the political aisle
Serve as a liaison with industry trade associations, as well as trade groups of related industries
Interact directly with governmental officials at all levels, including Members of Congress and the Executive Branch
Assist with the management of contract lobbyists operating in Washington DC
Analyze federal legislative trends to recommend company actions and next steps to address these issues effectively
Analyze impacts of proposed government and legislative actions as to their actual or prospective impact on transportation and mobility industries and guiding company departments in developing company positions
Assist in formulating and effectively communicating company positions on issues to appropriate stakeholders
Cultivate relationships and maintains communications with key, diverse stakeholders throughout Washington DC that support the Enterprise Mobility agenda
Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness and recognition of Enterprise Mobility as a responsible corporate leader
Develop strategic giving from the company’s Political Action Committee (PAC), attending and periodically hosting political fundraisers on behalf of the PAC
Assist with state government and public affairs activities and representing the company at national and regional events

Qualifications Required:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree
Must have eight (8+) or more years of experience with government, political or public relations
Must have direct experience working with the federal legislative process
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Must reside in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area
Preferred Post-Graduate degree
Direct or indirect experience dealing with car rental, automotive, trucking or property and casualty insurance industries
Direct or indirect experience working with the following committees: House Energy & Commerce; House Transportation and Infrastructure; House Ways & Means, Senate Commerce, Science & Transportation; Senate Environment and Public Works, Senate Finance
