The Production Supervisor will manage, analyze and facilitate production activities while supporting our Safety and Quality standards. Now is your chance to join our [aero]dynamic team!Key Responsibilities (include and are not limited to):Monitors daily production output and delivers corrective actions.Independently analyzes product and equipment specifications and performance.Day-to-day meeting of the production goals while maintaining both Quality and Safety standards.Coordinate with Operations Manager for resource analysis and capacity planning.Plan and assign work according to changing priorities.Motivates machine operators to achieve daily production goals.Initiate continuous improvement activities to improve product flow.Train, mentor and supervise the machine operators for continued improvement of skills and development of human capital.Perform defect root cause analysis and mitigation.Perform departmental administrative duties as assigned.Engages in disciplinary actions as needed.Education / Experience:Minimum education HSD or GED; associate or bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field preferred.Minimum of 3-years supervisory experience in manufacturing setting.Experience in managing and inspiring direct reports.Union experience preferred.Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.Ability to train on 1st shift.Skills, Knowledge & Other Requirements:Experience in precision machining of very tight tolerance parts. Strong oral and written communication skills and high confidence in providing recommendations.Must have an inquisitive nature to understand how factory processes impact results to effect change.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees.Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.Experience working with exotic materials.Experience in implementing and applying Lean manufacturing techniques in an Aerospace manufacturing setting. Formal Lean training a plus.Experience in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting production goals within time and budgetary constraints.Experience in developing human capital through selection, teaching, training & mentoring.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to clearly communicate at all levels within the organization, both written & verbally.Honesty and strong work ethic; Passion for supervising and problem solving.Preferred Qualifications:Blueprint reading, and knowledge of GD&T symbols, and interpretation.The ability to use precision hand tools for measurements such as calipers, micrometers, drop gages, etc.
