As a part of the Digital Marketing team, the SEO Planner will work closely with additional cross-functional groups, including search, social media, lead aggregators, Web development, mobile, analytics and more. The SEO Planner may lead a third-party agency, but will always serve as an expert in keyword research, search-friendly content, page optimization, performance and link-building strategies.
Responsibilities:
The SEO Planner will be responsible for defining and implementing Parks andRecreation Indiana's organic search strategy in order to achieve our related marketing objectives. Specific duties will include opportunity assessment, target keyword definitions, page optimization, performance analysis and traffic generation (link building). The SEO planner will work closely with Content Strategy to identify, develop and optimize content that yield top search engine placements and drive revenue growth through organic search results as a non people manager.
Responsible for developing annual and quarterly plans for search engine optimization
Achieve all marketing objectives related to search engine optimization, including year-over-year growth and conversion improvements
Perform regular keyword research and proactively identify areas of optimization acrossPRI's digital portfolio and related third-party sites (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, lead aggregators) for head terms and tail terms
Partner with Content Strategy and Social Media Strategy to develop SEO-friendly content and linking strategies that improves our ranking,click-through and conversions
Partner with technology team to optimize PRI-owned digital properties for improved organic search performance
Develop and execute aggressive yet appropriate (white hat) link-building strategies to improve quality scores
Manage, track and report SEO Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Be a great communicator and be able to work effectively with cross-functional marketing, public relations, academic and content teams
Understand our competitive landscape and strategies that yield positive results in search engines and define SEO best practices for the company, extending into social, mobile, content syndication Qualifications 5+ years of direct, hands-on SEO experience, either with an agency or in-house
Qualifications
4-year college degree; BS/BA in Marketing or Business preferred.
Google Adwords experience is a plus
Experience with keyword research and search engine ranking tools a must
Experience with web analytics (Omniture/Webtrends) preferred.
Management of an external SEO agency a plus
Have excellent organizational skills and great project management skills
Have a good understanding of online marketing
