Job Description Director – Women’s Sports
Octagon seeks a dynamic, experienced professional with well-established contacts in Women’s Sports and a track record of success in representing college and professional players across softball, flag football and volleyball, among other sports. Responsibilities include recruiting and representing athletes, marketing, and negotiating client contracts.
Responsibilities And Duties Recruit new clients and negotiate players’ contracts
Assist in marketing and servicing of current and new clients
Establish contacts within college and professional women’s sports
Travel as needed in the performance of job responsibilities
Lead business development efforts for assigned clients
Other related duties as reasonably assigned
Required Qualifications College degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in athlete representation
Existing contacts within the college and professional sports communities
Proven record of successful representation of college and professional athletes
Ability to bring existing clients to Octagon
Knowledge of the business of sports
Well-developed sales and marketing skills
Superior negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to use good business judgement and to make quick decisions in situations where discretion is required
Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
Ability to travel as needed $65,000 - $71,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
