Technical Editor

Job TitleEssential Job Functions:Review and edit intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established style guidelines.Ensure intelligence products comply with Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings, the DIA Style Guide, ICD 203, and applicable IC standards.Work closely with analysts and other intelligence professionals to improve the quality, accuracy, and readability of finished intelligence products.Ensure complex intelligence information is presented clearly and appropriately for a variety of audiences.Support editing and production requirements in a 24/7 operational environment.Required Skills:Active DoD Top Secret Security ClearanceExperience reviewing and editing written intelligence products with a high degree of accuracyKnowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings, the DIA Style Guide, and ICD 203Ability to support a 24/7 operational environmentEducation & Experience: One of the following combinations:Associate's degree and 8+ years of technical editing experienceBachelor's degree and 4+ years of technical editing experienceMaster's degree and 2+ years of technical editing experienceDesired Skills:Experience working in a Combatant Command (COCOM) environmentExperience incorporating intelligence information into all-source research, analysis, and productionKnowledge of Intelligence Community and organizational style guidesAbility to communicate complex topics clearly to audiences with varying backgrounds and levels of expertiseMust-Haves:Target Systems AnalysisEuropean Theater military analysisJoint Targeting Cycle expertiseAll-source military capabilities analysisComplex systems vulnerability analysisMulti-agency intelligence collaborationLong-form intelligence production
