For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and implement an end-to-end executive communications strategy for Optum Insight CEO and key members of the leadership team designed to reach key internal and external stakeholdersServe as a trusted advisor to Optum Insight executives and members of the communications team on communications approach, positioning, voice, and tone in high-stakes situationsTranslate enterprise and business priorities into clear, compelling executive communications messages designed to engage priority audiencesPlan and deliver high-stakes communications moments including employee town halls, major public announcements, and external engagements such as speaking opportunitiesAdopt and model modern ways of working and communicating with the latest tools and technologyRequired Qualifications:7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or product development5+ years of experience, within an innovative or strategic role. Experience working with UHC or OptumSenior-level experience working with other leaders, including executives, to manage business performance and strategic directionExperience managing operational workflows, issue triage, implementation readiness, vendor coordination, reporting, reconciliation, or lifecycle documentation across multiple internal systems and stakeholder groupsExperience leading cross-functional teams, including creative, technical, and business professionalsExperience enabling growth with sales and account teams, including sales readiness trainings, value proposition development, proposal/RFP support, Salesforce or sales system readiness, and client customization requestsDemonstrated solid written/verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skillsDemonstrated financial and business acumen; proven ability to work effectively with finance, accounting, contracting, and product teams to manage vendor financial performance, billing models, performance guarantees, and P&L impactsDemonstrated ability to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing demandsDemonstrated ability to translate complex vendor, legal, operational, and product information into clear executive updates, decision materials, playbooks, and stakeholder communicationsDemonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment. Navigate ambiguity with easeDemonstrated self-directed individual with the ability to prioritize one's workDemonstrated ability to effectively deal with levels of ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertaintyPreferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience as a strategic communications leader and advisor working with at least one of the following functional business areas: Communications, Public Affairs or Marketing Communications7+ years of experience as an effective internal and external communications professional working in a fast-paced, highly scrutinized environment, coupled with a track record of success in driving engagementExperience in healthcare or technology industries preferredProven ability to counsel and advise senior leaders and distill complex topics into clear, concise messaging as well as strong judgment in high-stakes or sensitive situationsProven exceptional writing and storytelling skills and the ability to leverage multiple communications channelsProven to be highly motivated leader and team player with the ability to multitask and excellent time management skillsMust be able to Travel 25% of the timePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $134,600 - $230,800 annually based on full-time employment.
