Summary:
This individual is a social-first content creator who helps develop, capture, edit and publish engaging content across social media platforms. The Social Content Creator is responsible for creating timely, relevant and brand-appropriate content that helps clients connect with audiences, show up consistently and participate in culture in ways that feel natural to each platform.
This person works closely with social media managers, creative teams, account teams, media teams and clients to bring social ideas to life across organic and paid channels. The Social Content Creator should understand how people engage with content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and emerging social channels. This person should be comfortable concepting social ideas, writing captions, shooting lightweight content, editing short-form video, adapting trends and helping turn brand strategy into platform-native content.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop social-first content ideas for clients across organic and paid social channels
Create, capture and edit short-form video, static posts, stories, reels, carousels and other social content
Write captions, social copy, post language and light content scripts in the appropriate brand voice
Adapt approved campaign ideas, brand guidelines and content strategies into platform-native social executions
Stay current on social media trends, platform behaviors, creator formats, content styles and audience expectations
Identify relevant trends, formats and cultural moments that may be appropriate for client brands
Partner with creative, social, account and media teams to support content calendars, social campaigns and always-on content needs
Support content shoots, including pre-production, shot lists, prop needs, capture, editing and delivery
Edit social content using mobile and desktop tools as needed
Ensure content is clear, accurate, on brand, on strategy and aligned with client objectives
Revise content based on feedback from social, creative, account, media and client teams
Help organize content files, assets, captions, versions and deliverables
Understand how social creative works across paid social, organic social and content marketing channels
Work with project management and account teams to meet deadlines and follow agency process
Enter time on a daily basis and follow standard agency policies and procedures

1-3 years of agency, in-house, creator, social media or related content experience
Strong understanding of major social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
Ability to create social-first content that feels native to each platform
Experience shooting and editing short-form video content
Strong writing skills for captions, post copy, short scripts and social concepts
Comfortable both behind and on camera
Basic understanding of paid social, organic social, social trends and content performance
Familiarity with content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, native platform tools or similar programs
Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple assignments at once
Able to take feedback and revise work quickly and thoughtfully
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Strong curiosity about social behavior, culture, content trends and clients’ businesses
