Senior Financial Scriptwriter About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Financial Scriptwriter to help shape the voice and daily content behind Nicholas Crown’s financial media platform.
This person sits at the intersection of markets, storytelling, and social media.
You’ll work closely with our research team to identify timely, compelling financial ideas and turn them into highly engaging scripts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and longer‑form YouTube content.
The goal is simple: every day, Nicholas should walk in with exceptional, researched, shoot‑ready scripts waiting to be filmed.
Those scripts need to do more than explain markets. They need to stop the scroll, create curiosity, tell a story, entertain, and ultimately turn viewers into newsletter subscribers.
What You’ll Do Write daily short‑form scripts for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Develop mid‑form and longer‑form YouTube scripts
Work directly with Research to identify topical market stories, unusual data points, and compelling financial ideas
Develop strong, frame‑breaking hooks and angles that make sophisticated subjects immediately interesting
Turn complex financial concepts into clear, entertaining narratives without sacrificing accuracy
Structure scripts around retention, pacing, curiosity, tension, and payoff
Strategically weave calls‑to‑action and newsletter conversion into content
Help develop recurring formats, franchises, and storytelling concepts
Work with Growth to understand what drives views, retention, engagement, and conversion and apply those insights to future scripts
Partner with the Head of Content on editorial strategy, brand voice, and consistency across platforms
What We’re Looking For Exceptional scriptwriting and storytelling ability
Deep understanding of social media, particularly short‑form video
Strong instincts around hooks, audience attention, retention, and shareability
Meaningful knowledge of financial markets, investing, economics, and business
Ability to quickly understand sophisticated financial concepts and identify the most interesting story inside them
Strong editorial judgment and the ability to generate angles rather than simply execute assignments
Experience writing for creators, media brands, YouTube channels, or other high‑performing digital platforms
Ability to write consistently in a distinct established voice
Comfort working quickly around markets, news, and a daily publishing schedule
How You’ll Work You’ll report to the Head of Content and work closely with both our Research and Growth teams.
Research helps surface the ideas and ensure financial rigor. Growth provides feedback on audience behavior and conversion. Your job is to turn that intelligence into content people actually want to watch.
You should be equally comfortable discussing a market narrative with an analyst and figuring out the first sentence that will make a million people stop scrolling.
