Student Graphic DesignerThe Student Graphic Designer for ASU Enterprise Partners is a flexible, imaginative, dynamic, problem-solver who creates innovative, integrated and outside-the-box visual solutions for all electronic and traditional marketing channels.Working closely with the Creative team and embracing the atmosphere of a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, the Student Graphic Designer will design and produce print-based materials, digital graphics and user-centric web materials that support and enhance the university brand, follow university and foundation style guidelines, and support marketing goals to drive resource-raising initiatives to directly benefit Arizona State University.The Student Graphic Designer reports to the Art Director and contributes to solutions in a fun, rewarding and challenging team environment. The student is expected to work 15 – 20 hours per week, with additional availability during the breaks.What You'll Do:Assists in the development of creative print layout and digital designs using various Adobe programsBuilds presentation materials, comps and mock-upsSelects compelling photography to support fundraising goals for digital and print materialsDevelops conceptual ideas as guided by client input, team direction and project objectives and purposesDevelops and produces concept boards, mock-ups and electronic filesArticulates ideas in the form of sketches, print-based design comps and project mock-upsMaintains accurate records and uploads/downloads archived files into servers and digital asset management systemsAccepts and interprets client input, feedback and mark-upsAssists design and department staff as requiredResearches, gathers, photographs, illustrates, typesets, and produces visual content for projects as neededWorks as part of team, creatively and independentlyAn ambassador of the ASU BrandWhat You'll Need:Exhibits attention to detail and high degree of openness to new approaches and ideasStrong understanding of design and layoutCollaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environmentStrong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, writing, and by phoneAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners and University business and confidential prospect informationAttention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned dutiesHighly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects with tight deadlinesWorking knowledge of the PC computer platformProficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud applications including; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro DCProficiency in Microsoft Office software applications to include; Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to modify existing files (copy edits, photo modifications and resizing)Relevant Qualifications:A student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Arizona State UniversityMust be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreementPreferred Education and Experience:A current student pursuing Graphic Design at Arizona State UniversityPrevious work or internship experienceRelevant courseworkPreferred Skills and Abilities:Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopBenefits:$30 bi-weekly cell phone reimbursementHands-on experience in a professional environmentProfessional development plansOpportunity to network with ASUEP leaders and other ASU studentsAccess to LinkedIn Learning and their 8,000+ coursesProfessional skills workshopsAbout ASU Enterprise PartnersASU Enterprise Partners is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide an ecosystem of services to create solutions and generate resources to extend Arizona State University's reach and advance its charter.
