We're seeking an SEO Copywriter who can blend strategic storytelling, search optimization, and brand-focused messaging to create compelling content that drives engagement and supports university growth. In this role, you'll partner with stakeholders across marketing and enrollment to develop high-performing digital content that connects with audiences, elevates brand visibility, and supports key business objectives. If you're passionate about content strategy, SEO, and turning complex ideas into clear, engaging copy, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoCreate SEO-focused content for WGU's website, blog, and digital marketing channels while maintaining a consistent brand voice.Develop compelling copy that supports marketing campaigns, enrollment initiatives, and strategic university objectives.Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into effective content strategies.Collaborate with designers and creative team members to develop integrated marketing assets from creative briefs.Write and manage content for vendor, affiliate, email, direct mail, and other marketing channels as needed.Apply SEO best practices, industry trends, and content performance insights to improve search visibility and audience engagement.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.What You'll BringExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Strong understanding of SEO principles, content optimization, and digital content strategy.Experience creating content that simplifies complex topics into engaging, audience-focused messaging.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.Experience working within a content calendar and managing competing priorities.Ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.Portfolio or writing samples required.Bonus PointsExperience writing higher education, education technology, or mission-driven brand content.Experience supporting email marketing campaigns and template development.Familiarity with content performance measurement and optimization strategies.What to ExpectAt WGU, our mission drives everything we do, including how we hire.
