Concreteworks East, a leading manufacturer of architecturalprecast concrete, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director ofProduction. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of ourproduction process, ensuring seamless operations, high-quality standards, andstrategic coordination among departments.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Oversee the entire productionprocess, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring manufacturingoperations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Department Coordination : Directly manage ProjectManagement, Production Management, and all facility operations.
- Budget Management : Monitor budgets, allocateresources effectively, and maintain financial discipline.
- Process Improvement : Implement process enhancementsto optimize production efficiency.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functionalteams, including design, engineering, and quality control.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to safetyprotocols throughout production.
- Staff Management : Lead hiring, training, andperformance reviews for production staff.
- Performance Metrics : Ensure company key performancemetrics are met and create KPIs for other teams.
- Lean Manufacturing : Use lean manufacturing principlesto reduce breakdowns and waste while improving communication, organization, andplanning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 6+ of experience in production/manufacturing management,preferably in architectural product manufacturing or fabrication.
- Strong strategic planning skills and ability to driveprocess improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP software, or dedicated inventory,quality control, and safety software.
