We're growing our creative team, and we're looking for an Art Director to become the right hand to our Senior Creative Director — a true creative partner you can think out loud with, hand something half-formed to, and trust to run with it.
You'll thrive here if you love taking a project from that first spark of an idea all the way through to polished, final delivery — bringing your own perspective, taste, and craft at every step. You're the kind of person who brings ideas to the table, not just execution, and who makes the whole team better by being on it. This role reports directly to the Senior Creative Director, and we mean partner, not just report to.
What You'll Work On
Core focus areas: Brand & Identity · Digital & Web · Print
Own projects end-to-end — from concept and strategy through design, refinement, and final delivery
Partner closely with the Senior Creative Director as a trusted collaborator — sharing ideas, pushing our thinking, and helping shape the creative direction together
Translate brand strategy into compelling visual concepts across campaigns, digital experiences, print, packaging, and sales materials
Build and maintain scalable design systems that keep us consistent across DMF's commercial and residential channels, B2B and D2C
Design and deliver assets for web, email, landing pages, social, trade shows, and dealer-facing materials
Collaborate across marketing, product, and sales — turning strategy into design and design into real impact
Help shape the ongoing evolution of DMF's visual identity — how the brand looks, feels, and shows it up in the world
Use AI tools for image generation and creative production — working smarter without ever compromising quality
What We're Looking For
5+ years in art direction, graphic design, or brand design — in-house or agency, both welcome
A strong portfolio showing conceptual range, real craft, and the ability to carry a project from idea to final asset
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma
A deep feel for typography, color, layout, and brand systems
Experience building scalable design systems that help teams move faster and stay consistent
Familiarity with UX/UI principles — you get how visual hierarchy and layout shape the way people engage
Comfortable prepping files for both print and digital production
A generous collaborator who brings out the best in the people around them
Self-directed and confident in your point of view — you bring perspective, and you're open to where it goes when we build on it together
Someone who genuinely cares about the details and takes pride in getting it right
Able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while keeping the work (and yourself) in good shape
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications — or equivalent experience that speaks for itself
Nice to Have
Experience in architectural, lighting, or technical product categories
Experience working across B2B and DTC channels at the same time
Why DMF
DMF is a place where your work is seen, used, and felt — not buried in a queue. We design lighting that lives in real spaces, so the brand you help shape shows up in the world in a tangible way.
Real ownership, real impact.
This is a small, senior team, which means your fingerprints will be all over the brand. What you make ships, and you'll watch it shape how DMF looks and feels across every channel.
A team that actually collaborates.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Senior Creative Director and alongside marketing, product, and sales — a growing team that takes real pride in high-quality work and makes the day genuinely good to be part of.
Room to grow.
As we grow the creative team, you'll help define how it works and where it goes. There's real space here to expand your scope and your craft.
A brand worth caring about.
Lighting is design people live with every day. It's a category where great visual work genuinely stands out — and where yours will.
This is an on-site role, because the best creative work here happens in the same room — quick pin-ups, fast feedback, and the kind of momentum you only get face-to-face.
