Athletics Facilities ManagerThe University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is seeking an energetic, organized, and operations-focused Athletics Facilities and Equipment Manager to play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans. Located in the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry, USCB Athletics is home to 13 varsity sports, along with growing club and intramural programs. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment and takes pride in ensuring facilities, equipment, and events are safe, organized, competition-ready, and first class.What You'll DoOversees the daily operation, maintenance, preparation, and readiness of USCB Athletics facilities and equipment.Coordinates facility readiness for practices, home competitions, special events, and external users, ensuring athletic venues, locker rooms, and event spaces meet high standards for safety, functionality, and presentation.Directs venue setup and breakdown, communicates facility needs and operational updates to Game Managers, participates in event planning meetings, and helps ensure smooth execution of home competitions and special events.Oversees athletic equipment and inventory operations, including organization, tracking, storage, gear issuance, collection, and accountability.Coordinates equipment and laundry services that ensure student-athletes and coaches have the resources they need for practices, competitions, and team activities.Works closely with Athletics staff, University Facilities, coaches, Game Managers, student employees, and campus partners to identify operational needs and deliver timely solutions.Helps maintain safe, efficient, welcoming, and high-quality athletic environments that enhance the experience of student-athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, and visitors.Why Join USCB Athletics?This is more than a facilities and equipment position—it is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the student-athlete experience and the continued growth of Sand Shark Athletics. Join USCB Athletics and help create the environment where Sand Sharks train, compete, and succeed.Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience - Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Demonstrated knowledge of athletic facility and event operations, equipment management, inventory control, and facility maintenance practices. Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility, inventory, and work order management systems. Ability to operate equipment related to athletic facility and field maintenance and to understand safety standards and risk management practices. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, coaches, student-athletes, University personnel, contractors, and student employees while providing exceptional customer service and support. This is a full-time, live-in position working 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.
