Cleveland Play House seeks a full-time seasonal Wardrobe Supervisor to join the production team and supervise and run mainstage productions.

Reports to: Costume Shop Supervisor & Associate Costume Shop Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and stock the two mainstage wardrobe rooms at the beginning of each season
For each show, create the Costume Plot, Preset List, Run Sheet, Post Show Duties, and Costume Check-In/Out Sheets
Coordinate with stage management on dressing room setup prior to tech
Coordinate with the production team on quick change booth locations and setup
Articulate preshow duties, presets, costume changes, and post-show duties to wardrobe staff
Coordinate with costume shop management on daily laundry and weekly dry cleaning schedules
Communicate notes to stage management for show reports
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
WORK SCHEDULE Shop hours (when not running a show): Monday
y, 9am6pm.
During run of show: 6 days a week, TuesdaySunday. Tech week and preview performances include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Performances primarily evenings and weekends with two shows Saturdays and Sundays; 4-hour minimum calls.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Understanding of clothing and costume construction
Experience working on wardrobe crews and executing quick changes
Laundry experience; skilled with steamers, industrial and domestic irons
Proficient hand sewing and machine stitching
Experience leading a team
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve challenges
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Dropbox
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Dexterity to move quickly and quietly
Ability to lift arm above the head, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders
Strength to move rolling racks loaded with costumes and accessories
COMPENSATION $19/hour, paid bi-weekly.
