Role Overview
An Associate Proposal Manager supports the development of complex federal proposals for DoD, Intelligence Community, and other government clients. This high-visibility position involves coordinating proposal activities from pre-RFP planning to final submission, working closely with capture managers, SMEs, technical teams, and leadership.
Responsibilities include
Supporting full lifecycle proposal development
Translating capture strategies into compelling content
Managing compliance and submission readiness
Leading storyboarding and drafts
Conducting color reviews
Coaching contributors
Ensuring effective communication with senior leaders
Candidate must operate under pressure and meet deadlines, maintaining proposal quality
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3-5 years of federal proposal experience
Familiarity with proposal processes and federal solicitation structure
Strong organizational skills
Advanced MS Office skills
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Skills
Proposal certifications (Shipley, APMP)
Experience supporting large federal pursuits
Knowledge of geospatial, cybersecurity, or cloud domains
Familiarity with AI tools and federal procurement terminology
