Technical Writer/EditorInternational Logic Systems, Inc. (ILS) is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to support a federal Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and Business Modernization effort. This role is responsible for ensuring all project deliverables are clear, consistent, Government-editable, and audit-ready, and that all documents comply with HHS digital accessibility and Section 508 requirements. The Technical Writer/Editor will work closely with project leadership and analysts/SMEs to integrate technical and business inputs into cohesive, high-quality deliverables suitable for senior Government stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain project document templates, styles, and formatting standards to ensure consistency across all deliverables.Edit and finalize deliverables for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and executive readability, ensuring content is evidence-based and traceable to source data and assumptions.Coordinate version control and document QA, ensuring timely incorporation of Government comments and maintaining clean, Government-editable working files.Ensure deliverables include required elements such as tables/figures, appendices, works cited/sources, and consistent terminology.Produce and validate Section 508-compliant deliverables (Word, PowerPoint, and PDF), correcting accessibility issues prior to submission.Support preparation of leadership briefing materials and final packaging/submission of deliverables to the Government COR.Deliverables You Will SupportMonthly Status ReportsAoA Study PlanFinal AoA Report and Leadership Briefing MaterialsBusiness Case Analysis (BCA)Implementation RoadmapNotional Schedule and supporting matrices/appendicesRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience writing/editing federal technical and analytical deliverables, such as AoA reports, business cases, roadmaps, implementation plans, or executive decision briefs.Proven experience producing Section 508-compliant documents and applying accessibility best practices to Word, PowerPoint, and PDFs.Strong editorial skills with attention to detail (structure, logic flow, grammar, formatting, consistency).Solid document management discipline, including version control, review cycles, and integration of multiple contributor inputs.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting HHS or CMS programs, or other federal health mission environments.Familiarity with IT modernization documentation, requirements traceability, or governance lifecycle deliverables.Experience working with analysts on documentation that must be audit-ready and defensible for acquisition/investment decisions.Familiarity with SharePoint/Teams collaboration and structured review workflows.Tools/TechnologyMicrosoft Word and PowerPoint (advanced proficiency required)Adobe Acrobat (or equivalent) for accessible PDF validation/remediationCollaboration tools (SharePoint/Teams preferred)
