Passionate about sports journalism, the full-time Associate Social Media Editor will drive audience growth and engagement remotely by producing platform-specific content, optimizing video assets, and analyzing performance data across various social media channels.
Key responsibilities

Drive growth and referral traffic by identifying opportunities across emerging and established platforms
Produce platform-specific content that drives engagement and conversation back to The Athletic
Analyze performance data to refine distribution strategies and collaborate with teams to execute distribution plans

Required qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in social media, sports media, or publishing
Demonstrated platform fluency on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and WhatsApp
Video editing and graphic creation experience
Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar
Demonstrable interest and knowledge of Premier League and major US sports
