Job Description
The University & Community Events Office oversees the Morris University Center and Kricker Innovation Hub Information Desks as well as the scheduling, setting up, tearing down of all internal and external events on Shawnee State University's campus.
Position Summary, Routine Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assist with daily event management to include unlocking rooms, setting up equipment and furniture for events and maintaining awareness of daily event schedule.
Assist with maintaining appearance/cleanliness of spaces across campus.
Setup and teardown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for internal and external events on campus for 50+ attendees.
Parking attendant.
Additional Information:
Heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
May work nights and evenings
Must be able to adhere to all safety standards and work practices established by the university.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift and move small furniture.
Considerable lifting, bending, climbing, and walking are required to successfully do this job.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Registered full-time SSU student
Eligible to work in the United States
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
Follow SSU dress code policy
