About the job:

1 Bold Step is an award-winning growth agency located in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Why call ourselves a growth agency? Because we help businesses optimize their end-to-end revenue cycle — not just their marketing or sales.

We’re looking for an experienced Campaign Manager to join our team. Using a combination of direction from the client stakeholders and the Account Executive, this role will develop and implement effective marketing campaigns that drive results for our clients, spanning from lead generation through customer satisfaction, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities (the full marketing and sales funnel). The Campaign Manager is responsible for envisioning the entire campaign and seeing it through from start to finish.

Part creative, part wordsmith, part data geek, and part taskmaster, this position allows the right person to take on multiple campaign plans and be a key contributor in driving growth for their clients. An expert in all things digital marketing, the Campaign Manager will utilize a broad array of databases and online tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, and other sales and marketing platforms to help clients hit their KPIs.

Additionally, you will need to be comfortable working collaboratively with multiple teams and clients simultaneously. This includes following the Agile Marketing methodology, being responsive and data-driven, and quickly adjusting strategies based on results.

Key Qualities:

Passionate - You’re excited about driving growth for your clients.
Agile - Adaptable. You can pivot quickly when a plan changes.
Collaborative - You’re a team player.
Proactive - You flag issues before they become problems. You don't wait to be asked.
Accountable - You own outcomes, not just tasks. When something's off track, you raise it and fix it.
Resourceful - Always looking to be the aspirin, not the headache.
Bold - Ambitious and daring to take on new challenges.
Real - You’re not afraid to be yourself. Robots are boring.

Responsibilities Include:

Creating, managing, executing, tracking, and improving (continuously) ongoing digital marketing campaigns that may include outbound and inbound tactics.
Establish clear content goals and KPIs to track success.
Keep informed on best practices to optimize engagement and conversion rates.
Research current industry trends, audience behavior, and competitors to shape strategy.

Campaign Execution & Analysis:

Handle and oversee campaign setup & documentation, implementation, and tracking within ad platforms (including Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Meta) and marketing automation platforms (including HubSpot).
Understanding the integration points between various sales and marketing databases and online analytics tools to PROVE return on marketing spend.
Routinely monitor campaign performance and delivery; escalte potential issues and optimize campaigns to meet performance goals.
Analyze campaign performance versus established goals and use this knowledge to tweak/test/iterate future campaigns as needed.
Creating monthly and quarterly reporting for clients using 1 Bold Step templates and processes.

Content Optimization & SEO:

Have a strong understanding of keyword research and on-page SEO
Integrate SEO best practices to boost content visibility and improve search engine rankings.
Leverage analytics tools to evaluate content performance, derive insights, and guide optimization and strategic decisions.
Present content strategies, creative concepts, and performance results to both clients and key stakeholders.
Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, delivering regular updates, performance reports, and actionable insights on content strategies.

Experience/Education:

More than 5 years of digital marketing experience
Bachelor's Degree; business or communications background preferred
A “Get it done” and “I’ll figure it out” positive attitude
Extensive ads management experience including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
Experience with Email Service Providers (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
Marketing automation platform and CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
Advanced SEO expertise and knowledge
Experience working with B2B sales teams a plus
Working knowledge of Asana or similar project management software
Excellent communication skills, including empathetic problem-solving
