Dairy Boy is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand built around a new vision of American style — blending nostalgia, sport, and everyday life with a point of view that feels fresh, intentional, and distinctly its own. We help people build lives and spaces that reflect who they are, and our audience is passionate, loyal, and growing fast across every platform.
We're looking for an Associate Print Designer / Graphic Artist to help shape the prints, graphics, and artwork that give each Dairy Boy season its character. This is a hands-on design role for someone who moves easily between a sketchbook and Illustrator — and who can carry an idea from a rough reference all the way to a production-ready file a mill can run.
You’ll work alongside our Design Director and Senior Designer on seasonal print and graphic concepts, researching color, trend, and archival references, building original artwork, and preparing the files that go out to our mills. From vintage source material to finished repeat, you’ll own the details that decide whether a print reads the way it did in your head — repeat precision, color accuracy, and a clean handoff. You’ll also help prepare weekly creative reviews, and keep our archive of artwork, references, and vintage purchases organized enough that the whole team can actually use it.
The right person is a genuine maker with taste — someone who draws, collects, and notices. They can lose an afternoon in an archive and still hit a mill deadline. They’re organized in a way that shows up in their files, not just their calendar, and they treat feedback as material to work with rather than a verdict on the work.
They should also understand the brand’s personality: a modern classic with a rebellious streak. Someone who knows the headlines, reads the room, refuses to make excellence humorless, and treats heritage as source material rather than costume.
Dairy Boy is scaling quickly, and this role sits close to the product itself — the prints and graphics people actually wear. You’ll work directly with senior leadership, have real ownership over the artwork that carries each season, and help build a print and graphic language that’s unmistakably ours. If you want to do meaningful work at a brand that cares deeply about taste and craft, this is a great place to do it.
What you’ll do
Design original prints and graphics from concept to finished artwork, working fluidly between hand-sketching and Illustrator and Photoshop
Research color, trend, and archival references that shape each season's print and graphic direction
Build clean, production-ready artwork files for vendor handoff, with accurate repeats, color separations, and technical specs
Liaise directly with fabric mills — sending out developments, commenting on submits, and following up until bulk production matches the approved standard
Maintain design integrity and clear reference documentation, so every concept can be reviewed and traced back to its source
Prepare artwork for weekly creative reviews, including image cleanup, recoloring, artwork refinement, product mockups, and pitch sheets
Build and maintain the seasonal archive of artwork, reference materials, and vintage purchases so it stays usable for the whole team
Partner with external studios and mills on artwork development, follow-up, and asset sharing
Partner cross-functionally with design, production, and merchandising to keep artwork on calendar and aligned with the season's plan
Keep an eye on which prints and graphics resonate, and carry those learnings into future seasons
What we’re looking for
2–5 years of design experience at a fashion or lifestyle brand
Strong command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on Mac; familiarity with AI-assisted design tools is a plus
Strong hand-drawing or illustration skills, with the ability to take an idea from sketch to polished, presentation-ready artwork
Working knowledge of repeats, colorways, and production-ready file setup for print
Experience working with mills or external studios on developments, submits, and bulk approvals — or the confidence to learn it quickly
A real interest in print, pattern, color, vintage, and heritage, and a feel for how they add up to brand storytelling
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines without losing the details
Strong written and verbal communication, with comfort sharing work and updates across teams
A degree in art, fashion design, illustration, graphic design, textile design, or a related field is a plus, but not required
