Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Chief Deputy, the Public Information & Digital Media Specialist manages all social media, digital content, marketing materials, and web presence for the Martin County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller's Office. This position leads marketing efforts for the office and its community initiatives, produces public-facing communications, and maintains consistent branding across all platforms.Essential FunctionsPlan, create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platformsMaintain, update, and edit the official Clerk's Office website, including content updates, page creation, and basic design changesDesign marketing collateral, flyers, infographics, and other graphics for office initiatives, public outreach, and community eventsCreate and edit PowerPoint presentations for executive staff, public meetings, and community eventsDevelop and execute marketing campaigns supporting the Clerk's Office and its community initiativesEnsure all public-facing materials follow consistent branding, tone, and visual identity standardsEnsure all digital content meets ADA and WCAG accessibility standardsMonitor and report on social media, Clerk website, and campaign analytics; recommend improvements based on dataCoordinate with division leads to gather information and translate it into clear public communicationsPhotograph and produce short video content for events and social mediaSupport emergency and crisis communications as neededManage projects from concept through delivery, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, and approvalsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a closely related field.Two (2) years of experience in social media, marketing, web technology, and digital media. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for an organizationProficiency editing and maintaining websites independentlyProficiency with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent)Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and the broader Microsoft 365 suiteStrong written and verbal communication skillsProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independentlyUnderstanding of branding principles and visual consistencyPrior experience in government, public sector, or a regulated industryFamiliarity with Florida Sunshine Law and public records requirementsExperience with email marketing platforms (GovDelivery, Constant Contact, Mailchimp)Photography and video editing experience (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)Bilingual (English/Spanish)Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console)Supplemental InformationSupervisory responsibilities: NonePhysical Requirements: Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects of light weight (5-25 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.Environmental Requirement: Tasks are performed mostly indoors but may be subject to infrequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require depth perception and color discrimination and differentiation.
