We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Associate Denim Designer to join our growing design team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience in denim or women's contemporary apparel who is passionate about trend-driven design, washes, fits, and fabric innovation. The Associate Denim Designer will support the design team throughout the product lifecycle—from concept and sketching to fittings and production—while helping develop commercially successful collections that align with the brand's vision.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and development of women's denim collections from concept through production.
Research seasonal fashion trends, consumer insights, vintage inspiration, silhouettes, fabrics, washes, colors, and trim innovations.
Create CADs, technical sketches, line sheets, and presentation boards using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Assist in developing seasonal concepts, color palettes, wash direction, and fabric stories.
Prepare and update tech packs with accurate construction details, measurements, BOMs, and design specifications.
Partner with Product Development and Technical Design to ensure products meet quality, fit, cost, and calendar requirements.
Review prototypes and participate in fit sessions, documenting comments and communicating revisions.
Collaborate with overseas factories and vendors regarding design details, wash development, fabric approvals, and sample execution.
Track samples throughout development and maintain organized sample libraries.
Assist with denim wash development, garment treatments, distressing techniques, and finishing details.
Create presentation materials for internal meetings, seasonal line reviews, and sales presentations.
Maintain accurate design files, seasonal boards, and digital asset organization.
Stay current on market trends, competitive brands, emerging silhouettes, and denim innovations.
Support cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of seasonal calendars and product launches.
Utilize AI-assisted design and visualization tools where appropriate to enhance creative development and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in denim or women's contemporary apparel design.
Strong understanding of denim construction, garment washes, fabrications, fits, and finishes.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems is a plus. As as with AI Rendering.
Knowledge of patternmaking, garment construction, and technical specifications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Highly creative with a strong eye for color, proportion, detail, and emerging fashion trends.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Experience using AI-powered creative tools for design ideation, image generation, or workflow enhancement is a plus.
