Technical SEO SpecialistGreenville South Carolina: Can be remote in GA but they want someone close that could come onsite for needed meetings40hrs a week / Contact to HireWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical SEO Specialist to join our digital marketing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Technical Director and support them across a variety of technical and optimization initiatives.Note: Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit a portfolio, case study, or relevant project examples demonstrating these skills in action.Required SkillsAbility to write HTML & CSS code from scratch (without AI assistance)Conceptual understanding of JavaScript and PHP (writing code from scratch is not required)Hands-on experience working with various WordPress sites and the Gutenberg editorExperience working with at least one major page builder (e.g., Elementor)Experience managing websites hosted on dedicated WordPress environments (e.g., WP Engine, SiteGround, Bluehost)Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (Technical SEO health, page speed optimization, and on-page best practices)Understanding of fundamental web design principles (color contrast, typography, brand consistency)Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience managing domains and DNS configurationsExperience setting up and troubleshooting SMTP settingsExperience migrating existing WordPress websites between hostsProficiency with Zapier or integrating lead generation platforms into CRMsBasic working knowledge of Google Tag Manager (basic tags/triggers), Google Analytics (reports/key events), and Google Search Console (indexing reports, Core Web Vitals, structured data)Familiarity with Chrome DevToolsExperience using photo/graphic editing software (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity)Comfort working within standard code editors (e.g., VS Code)Ideal Candidate ProfileResourceful problem solver comfortable navigating unique, unfamiliar technical challenges without established answersAbility to independently read and interpret platform/service documentationCollaborative team player who effectively receives, implements, and offers feedbackSkilled at managing shifting priorities and proactively communicating potential issues or conflicts earlyAdaptable learner eager to keep pace with a constantly evolving industry
