Job Summary

The Video Specialist is responsible for recording, live streaming, editing and providing media (video files, etc.) of events such as lectures, etc. Provides technical and creative expertise to a University college, division, or department for studio and field productions. Shoots and edits video, records sound tracks, and utilizes graphics and animation tools to promote University programs. May collaborate with writers, managers, or coaches.

Minimum Education and Experience

-Vocational/Technical Diploma -One to three years' experience in video production. -An equivalent level of education and/or experience acceptable.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

- Recording/Live streaming of events.
- Editing videos.
- Creating graphics such as titles and lower thirds.
- Providing products in the desired formats (computer files, etc.).
- Processing request for events (maintaining the database).
- Maintaining equipment.
