REQ-42686The Multimedia Journalist Reporter produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.KSNT-TV/KTMJ-TV is looking for a Multimedia Journalist to produce daily news content across all broadcast and digital platforms that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to local audiences\*Must include a link to online reel when applying in order to be considered.Responsibilities* Report, shoot, write, and edit compelling news stories for television, digital, streaming, social, and mobile platforms.* Pitch new stories daily, demonstrating solid news judgment and the ability to identify and develop stories that matter to local audiences.* Collaborate with other newsroom staff to develop impactful coverage plans.* Build and maintain relationships with sources, public officials, and community members.* Research and analyze background information related to news stories to provide complete and accurate reports.* Review copy and correct errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.* Ensure all news content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.* Report live from the field, oftentimes requiring ad-libbing during breaking news situations.* Participate in promotional activities including public appearances and community volunteer opportunities.* Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements & Skills:* Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.* Fluency in English.* Experience using broadcast camera equipment and editing software.* Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines.* Valid driver's license with a good driving record.* Flexibility to work any shift.
