You understand that the best political journalism right now requires you to be present on the trail and native to the internet.You have a big personality and high energy, but your journalism is precise. You've made something on your phone that made people stop scrolling. You don't need a producer to find the story because you are already doing that. You just need a platform to tell it.Role AccountabilitiesReport from the campaign trail, gathering and verifying information for digital, video, and social contentIdentify and pitch story ideas, contributing to daily and breaking news coverageShoot, edit, and publish short-form video using mobile tools in the fieldDeliver clear, accurate on-camera updates, including live or recorded segmentsMonitor social platforms and audience trends to inform story developmentCollaborate with editors and producers to shape content across platformsSupport fast-paced coverage by responding quickly to breaking news and evolving storiesQualifications & ExperienceAt least 3-5 years production experience in the news television industry or digital video journalismSome experience covering politics, campaigns or government strongly preferredHigh interest in political newsDemonstrated track record of breaking news and developing strong story ideas independentlyProven ability to shoot, edit and publish short-form video from a mobile device in the fieldExperience with on-camera reporting; comfort live streaming in breaking news or evolving news situationStrong, clear writing that works across formatsDeep familiarity with digital platforms and how political content performs and travels onlineExcellent time management and logistics managementAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with minimal supervisionMust hold and maintain a valid and active Driver's License.Willingness to travel extensively and sustain a demanding embed schedule in a 24/7 news environmentThis is a project based role that runs through January 2029.Warner Bros. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
