Marnie (a new comic strip/book character)

Illustration Design Brief

Draft illustrations for new character (much like comic characters from Peanuts (Charlie Brown etc) as a reference point. Main character is young female (7-9 years old), she's a strong minded little girl much like Lucy or Peppermint Patty from the Peanuts but she's cute and has her own (mostly hidden) frailties. She's Australian but could fit into any city or country setting around the world. Probably Caucasian. Probably shorter haired and sometimes in a small ponytail (but not always).
Target market(s): Young children from 6-10 their parents and public in general
