The Task Manager serves as the primary operational leader for specific Technical Instructions (TIs) and Task Orders under a Navy Information Technology contract. This role bridges the gap between executive program management, technical engineering teams, and the Navy Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day IT deliverables, manage personnel allocation, track financial burn rates, and ensure compliance with strict Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Delivery{{:}}

Oversee the daily execution of IT tasks including network modernization, cloud migration, software development, or help desk operations

Contract & Financial Tracking{{:}}

Monitor task-level budgets, track funding modifications, manage Level of Effort (LOE) hour burn rates, and prevent cost overruns

Personnel Management{{:}}

Direct, schedule, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of network engineers, systems administrators, and cybersecurity professionals

Client Interface{{:}}

Act as the primary interface for government TPOCs, CORs, and military leadership regarding task performance, risks, and scheduling

Reporting{{:}}

Prepare and deliver weekly status updates, Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), and eCRAFT labor reporting metrics to senior program leadership

Risk & Quality Assurance{{:}}

Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and ensure all IT deliverables meet Navy Cyber Mission Force standards

Requirements

Education{{:}}

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field

General Experience{{:}}

Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional experience in project management or IT team leadership

Specialized Experience{{:}}

Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience managing IT infrastructure, software development, or systems integration

Security Clearance{{:}}

Active

DoD Secret clearance

PMP, Project Management Professional, is strongly preferred but not required
