News Production Director

Newscast Production DirectorWXXV FOX 25/NBC 25, Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi market is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Newscast Production Director to lead the production of daily newscasts, promotional spots, and special programming. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure, and effective leadership within a fast-paced newsroom environment.Responsibilities:Direct live and recorded newscasts, promotional spots, and special programsCreate and manage graphics for all newscastsDirect teases and commercial content as neededServe as shift supervisor for the News Production teamAssist with training and onboarding of new employeesMaintain awareness of software updates and new production toolsSubmit daily written reports on quality control issuesCommunicate effectively with newsroom staff and other departmentsPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualifications:Ability to respond quickly to last-minute changes and work calmly under pressureStrong attention to detail and time-management skillsExperience supervising or leading a production teamWorking knowledge of broadcast production equipment and softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional, punctual, and courteous demeanorFlexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysReliable attendance recordPreferred Qualifications: Experience supervising or leading a production teamWorking knowledge of broadcast production equipment and softwareDegree in Film, Media, or CommunicationsBenefits: Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.)Paid Time OffOpportunities for training and professional growthFast-paced, collaborative newsroom environmentWe utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
