Lead Editor, Policy & Civic News

CommonWealth Beacon seeks a managing editor to oversee daily copy flow, collaborate with reporters on investigative and feature work, edit long-form and breaking stories, and assist with business strategy. You will also manage newsletters and social copy, aligning newsroom goals with MassINC’s mission.
The role reports to the editor and requires in-person work three days per week in Massachusetts, with senior leadership guiding coverage and audience development efforts.
