We're looking for a hands-on leader who can drive projects forward while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.Position SummaryThe Lead AV Installer is responsible for leading field installations of commercial audiovisual systems, coordinating technicians onsite, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, making it ideal for an experienced AV technician ready to take ownership of projects and mentor others in the field.ResponsibilitiesLead installation of commercial AV systems from rough-in through final commissioningDirect and coordinate daily activities of technicians and subcontractors onsitePerform rack assembly, equipment mounting, cable installation, wire terminations, and system testingInstall displays, projectors, speakers, DSPs, control systems, and AV infrastructureRead and interpret AV drawings, schematics, floor plans, and cable schedulesMaintain clean, organized racks and proper cable management throughout installationsTroubleshoot AV system issues and assist with commissioning activitiesPerform basic DSP configuration and control system updatesProvide progress updates to project managers and installation leadershipTrain and mentor junior technicians on best practices and installation standardsAssist with customer training and system handoff when projects are completeMaintain accurate daily reports and project documentationRequirements3+ years of commercial AV installation experienceExperience leading crews or serving as a senior AV technician onsiteStrong knowledge of AV signal flow, rack builds, cable management, and equipment installationAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and AV drawingsExperience with commercial displays, conferencing systems, projectors, speakers, and control systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsProfessional communication and customer-facing abilitiesReliable transportation and strong work ethicPreferred QualificationsCTS or CTS-I certificationExperience with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Poly, or Cisco systemsExtron AV Associate certificationExperience with Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deploymentsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationLift certificationWhy Work with Next Level Technician in Dallas, TX?Weekly Pay: Get paid every week, no waitingCompetitive Wages: $32–$38/hr based on experience and skill levelBenefits: PTO, medical benefits, sign-on & referral bonusesCareer Growth: Opportunities to advance into AV Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Management rolesDedicated Recruiter Support: Deep knowledge of the Dallas and North Texas low voltage marketNational Footprint: Be part of a team respected across Texas and the U.S.About Next Level TechnicianNext Level Technician connects top AV and low voltage professionals with leading employers nationwide.
