About the Role
HCLTech is seeking a talented 3D Graphics Designer with strong experience in creating high-quality 3D assets, environments, and visual content. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modeling, texturing, rendering, and asset optimization, along with a keen eye for visual storytelling, composition, and design aesthetics.

This is an onsite position in Hoboken, NJ , requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams to create visually compelling digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Build detailed 3D models, objects, characters, and environments from concepts, sketches, and design briefs.

Create three-dimensional wireframes, shapes, and high-detail organic or hard-surface assets.

Apply realistic textures, materials, colors, lighting, and shading to enhance visual quality.

Perform UV mapping and texture projection to accurately map 2D textures onto 3D surfaces.

Render high-resolution images, animations, and visual effects for production-ready deliverables.

Optimize 3D assets for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.

Collaborate with design, development, and creative teams to ensure artistic and technical quality.

Maintain consistency in scale, proportions, anatomy, and environmental design across projects.

Incorporate feedback and iterate designs to meet project objectives and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of professional experience in 3D modeling, visualization, or digital content creation.

Strong expertise with:

Blender

Autodesk Maya

Adobe Substance 3D Painter

Adobe Photoshop

Experience creating both organic and hard-surface models .

Strong understanding of:

3D modeling and sculpting

UV mapping and texturing workflows

Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials

Lighting, shading, and rendering techniques

Asset optimization and performance considerations

Excellent understanding of physical space, scale, depth, perspective, and anatomy.

Strong artistic eye for color theory, composition, scene framing, and visual storytelling.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on interactive media, gaming, immersive experiences, visualization, or digital products.

Knowledge of animation, rigging, or visual effects pipelines.

Portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D models, environments, texturing, and rendered projects.
