McDonald's is looking for a Content Designer to join the Product Experience team and help create digital experiences for restaurant crew members.
This role is ideal for a strong writer who understands how content shapes the overall product experience. You'll work closely with product managers, product designers, researchers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners to develop clear, useful, and engaging content for digital products.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take a product or customer problem, understand the audience and business needs, and create a clear content experience around it. This includes thinking strategically about how content can help restaurant employees work more efficiently and manage day-to-day business needs.
The team currently has two Content Designers, with this position adding capacity as one team member prepares for maternity leave.
What You'll Do
Design Content for Restaurant Crew
You'll help craft digital experiences that make it easier for restaurant crew members to complete tasks, understand information, and work efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Write and refine content for digital products and experiences
Create clear, conversational, and user-friendly product content
Develop content that helps crew members understand what to do, when to do it, and why it matters
Translate complex product or business requirements into simple, understandable language
Think strategically about content throughout the product experience
Partner with product managers, designers, researchers, and other stakeholders
Help identify customer problems and determine how content can help solve them
Contribute to content strategy, standards, patterns, and best practices
Review existing experiences and identify opportunities to improve the content and overall user experience
Required Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience in content writing, content design, UX writing, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional command of the English language
Ability to write clear, concise, conversational content
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional product teams
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Comfortable working in an evolving and collaborative environment
Experience using Figma
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in content design, UX writing, product content, or content strategy
Experience working on consumer-facing or employee-facing digital products
Experience in a restaurant, retail, hospitality, technology, or similarly fast-paced industry
