POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a

Proposal Coordinator II

at LJA in our

Marketing

department, you will be responsible for independently managing complex proposals and qualifications packages while serving as a key resource to technical staff and project managers. This role demonstrates advanced proposal development capabilities and begins contributing to pursuit strategy, messaging, and process improvement efforts. Participating in pursuit planning and proposal debrief discussions to build understanding of business development strategy, client needs, and competitive positioning.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

Managing RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and interview presentations from kickoff through submission independently

Developing proposal schedules and managing internal review cycles

Leading kickoff meetings for routine pursuits

Interpreting solicitation requirements and developing detailed compliance plans

Writing and editing executive summaries, cover letters, project descriptions, and key proposal content

Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subconsultant partners

Ensuring proposal quality, compliance, and brand consistency

Recommending pursuit messaging and differentiators

Mentoring Proposal Coordinator I staff and assisting with onboarding and training

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and content development

Supporting workload planning and pursuit prioritization

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of proposal experience, preferably within the AEC industry

Advanced Adobe InDesign proficiency

Strong technical editing and content development skills

Excellent project management and communication abilities

Ability to work independently with limited supervision
