Coordinator of Communications and Resources (Full Time)

Directly manage communications for the department, working collaboratively with Public Affairs, producing press releases, articles, and use of social media. Primarily responsible for developing and facilitating the sharing of resources related to safe environments and victim assistance, and the development and administration of training programs for use by dioceses. Demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manages confidential information and abides by the USCCB policy for mandated reporting of sexual abuse to public authorities.
Communication
Serves as public relations resource for the department and collaborates with Communications, Public Affairs, and Creative Services
Responsible for contributions to the USCCB/CYP and the Catholic Safeguarding Leadership Association (CSLA) webpage, including content and editing, managing webinars
Organizes and designs social media communication
Coordinates and executes all digital brand strategy for CYP/CSLA
Development and publication of CYP/CSLA news and events
Development and distribution of marketing/branding materials
Development and publication of the Annual Report.
Education
Develops resources related to topics of safe environment and victim assistance for use by dioceses, eparchies, and parishes; collaborates with Associate Director for material resources used for April Child Abuse Prevention Month
Collaborates with Associate Director and consultants with the development and management of online eLearning programs and platform
Collaborates with Associate Director with the HRO hybrid training program
Resource Management
Creating cultures of protection and healing through research, curriculum development, marketing, and public speaking engagements
Conducts research, drafts letters, presentations, memos, and documents as needed
Facilitates the Resource Library, collects and inputs data for annual updates of the CYP Priorities and Plans database
Management of CSLA membership
Educational Level
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Major Field/Specialty
Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Theology, Social Work
Other Specialized Training
Knowledge of Catholic Church structure and hierarchy required
Knowledge and understanding of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, the Essential Norms, and awareness of foundational documents and resources such as the John Jay Studies, the Five Principles, and the Tutela Minora
Understanding of the history of the sexual abuse crisis in the Catholic Church
Good organizational and time management skills
Research and writing skills, instructional design, brand marketing, graphic design, curriculum development
Experience with curriculum development and social media management
Experience in public speaking, willingness to learn
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, Canva, the internet, database management, etc.
Flexibility, team-oriented, ability to prioritize tasks/assignments, and work independently with minimal supervision, self-initiative
Type and Nature of Professional Experience
3 - 5 years working experience with experience in project management and administration.
Proficiency in written, oral, and digital communications.
Academic/professional experience with research or program/policy analysis.
Must be able to work independently, take initiative and work collaboratively on projects with short deadlines, prioritizing daily work while being aware of future project deadlines.
Excellent time management skills in addition to organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Effective and proficient use of the computer to include advanced knowledge of computer programs such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Programs.
Preferable experience with LMS (learning management systems), MMS (member management systems), social media management, Google Analytics, Canva, Canvas, and instructional design.
Ability to identify diocesan/eparchial needs and produce related resources, compose correspondence and reports, proofread, and edit documents accurately.
Demonstrates initiative and anticipates administrative and resource needs.
Professionally manages confidential documents and conversations.
Develop positive interpersonal relationships in the workplace.
Follow established policies and procedures.
Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and others to achieve mission goals and objectives.

The salary range for this position is $70,500 to $75,000.
