Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Production
Edit long-form videos (10-20 minutes) and short-form videos (Shorts, Reels) for YouTube
Add engaging intros, outros, transitions, text overlays, and captions
Incorporate B-roll, stock footage, animations, and graphics as needed
Ensure audio clarity, background music, and sound effects are balanced
Deliver videos in YouTube-optimized format (1080p or 4K)
Create eye-catching custom thumbnails for each video
2. Video Publishing & Channel Management
Publish videos consistently on scheduled days (minimum 3 long videos per week and daily 2 shorts)
Write SEO-optimised titles (including target keywords)
Write detailed video descriptions (150-200 words) with relevant links
Add tags, hashtags, and timestamps for better discoverability
Add end screens and cards to promote other videos and playlists
Organise videos into playlists for better viewer retention
3. YouTube SEO Optimization
Conduct keyword research for video topics targeting USA audience
Optimize video metadata (title, description, tags) for search rankings
Create custom thumbnails with high CTR potential
Use YouTube Analytics to track performance and refine strategy
Implement best practices for retention (hooks, pacing, CTAs)
4. Channel Growth & Audience Engagement
Monthly Target: 100+ new subscribers
Engage with audience through comments (reply to viewers)
Create community posts (polls, updates, behind-the-scenes) to boost engagement
Collaborate with other creators in the ed-tech / AI niche (optional)
Promote videos on other social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
Use YouTube Shorts strategy to attract new subscribers
Analyze top-performing content and replicate successful formats
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track weekly and monthly channel metrics
Subscriber growth (target: 100+ per month)
Watch time and retention rate
Click-through rate (CTR) on thumbnails
Views and impressions
Top-performing videos and keywords
Submit weekly performance report every Friday
Submit monthly growth report with insights and recommendations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Video Editing Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut (any professional tool)
Thumbnail Design: Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
YouTube SEO Knowledge: Keyword research, metadata optimization, tags, descriptions
YouTube Analytics: Ability to interpret data and adjust strategy
USA Audience Understanding: Knowledge of USA time zones, trends, and content preferences
Consistency: Ability to publish on schedule without fail
