About the Job
Mirage Media is looking for an Advertising Account Strategist who can lead the client conversation, shape the paid-media strategy, and work closely with our Advertising team to turn business goals into thoughtful, high-performing campaigns. You will serve as the primary Advertising contact for assigned clients, collaborating directly with them to understand their audiences, offers, budgets, priorities, sales processes, and performance goals. You should be comfortable discussing paid social, paid search, campaign performance, testing strategies, budgets, attribution, and the relationship between media, creative, audience, offer, tracking, and landing-page experience. More importantly, you should have the judgment to turn all of that information into clear, useful recommendations for the client.

You will also lead the Advertising portion of monthly client meetings, present performance reports, guide strategic conversations, and turn the previous month’s insights into a clear plan for what comes next.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Serve as the primary Advertising point of contact for assigned clients

Build strong client relationships through thoughtful communication, preparation, responsiveness, and follow-through

Learn each client's business model, audience, offers, sales process, priorities, seasonality, budgets, and goals

Develop paid-media strategies in collaboration with clients and Mirage's Advertising team

Help shape channel mix, audience strategies, budget allocation, campaign priorities, creative needs, conversion goals, and testing opportunities

Stay current on paid-social and paid-search platforms, privacy changes, attribution updates, emerging media opportunities, and evolving advertising practices

Collaborate with the internal team throughout campaign planning, launch, optimization, testing, and reporting

Review media plans, testing roadmaps, budget recommendations, reports, and client-facing materials for strategic clarity and accuracy

Help evaluate how media, creative, audience, offer, landing-page experience, tracking, and client operations may be influencing performance

Provide clear, constructive feedback that helps strengthen the strategy and move the account forward

Lead the Advertising portion of recurring and monthly client meetings

Collaborate with the team to interpret campaign performance and identify meaningful insights

Present monthly reports, explain what happened, and make clear recommendations for what should happen next

Turn performance insights, lead-quality feedback, sales information, and business changes into optimization and testing priorities

Set clear expectations around learning periods, attribution, creative fatigue, platform volatility, lead quality, and budget

Keep clients informed about progress, approvals, campaign needs, timelines, risks, and opportunities

Coordinate with Mirage's Marketing and Design verticals when clients receive multiple services

You'll Thrive Here If You

Have 3+ years of experience in paid-media strategy, advertising account strategy, or a comparable client-facing role, including

at least one year within a digital advertising, performance marketing, or integrated agency environment

Can connect campaign performance to the client's larger business goals rather than evaluating platform metrics in isolation

Understand how media, creative, audience, offer, landing pages, tracking, and the client's sales process work together

Are comfortable leading client meetings and presenting reports, recommendations, and a clear strategic point of view

Can translate complex performance information into language clients can understand and act on

Know how to manage expectations and lead difficult performance conversations with confidence and professionalism

Give thoughtful feedback while remaining collaborative and respectful of the team's expertise

Are highly organized and can manage multiple accounts, budgets, timelines, conversations, and priorities

Take ownership, follow through, and care deeply about the quality of the client experience

Are curious about why performance changed—not just whether a metric moved up or down

Have strong judgment and know when to recommend a different channel, test, budget allocation, or strategic direction

Bonus Points if You

Have experience managing paid-media strategy for multiple brands at once

Have worked in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or comparable advertising and reporting platforms

Have experience with programmatic, display, YouTube, CTV, audio, podcast, or out-of-home media

Understand conversion tracking, pixels, UTMs, tag management, product feeds, and landing-page workflows

Have experience with lead-generation, direct-response, awareness, retail, e-commerce, or multi-location campaigns

Understand creative testing and can recognize when the media problem may actually be a creative, offer, or landing-page problem

Can look at a performance report and quickly identify the questions the team should be asking next
