Description
The Corporate Communications department at Publix spearheads internal communications and press releases, publishes monthly newsletters and annual benefits notices, handles department-specific communications, and manages digital content for Publix's internally facing platforms. Within the department, the Digital Communications Coordinator position will:

Manage content calendars and support the scheduling of content for associate-directed digital channels

Assist the communications project managers in developing production timelines for simple efforts or templated projects

Maintain and enhance department SharePoint sites

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience (if applicable)

1 year of communications, public relations, marketing or project coordination experience, or a communications internship

1 year of using Microsoft 365 technologies

Knowledge of communication principles, processes, tools, techniques and planning

Ability and willingness to adjust one's style or approach in response to differing circumstances or to work in ambiguous situations

Ability to self-direct work activities and take action on tasks without direction from a supervisor

Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, schedule staff, and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time and within budget

Ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures

Ability to understand and apply new information, procedures, or principles to perform job duties

Ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents or on the computer, such as prices, quantity, weights, lists or data

Ability to effectively resolve problems; identify and analyze key information from multiple sources

Ability to create an environment in which a positive and professional service orientation is evident to internal customers

Ability to prepare clear, accurate, understandable, and professional written text in English, using appropriate level of detail for the intended audience, and following the basic rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation to convey information

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Basic skills in Microsoft SharePoint and Outlook or other calendar/email software

Availability to work holidays and extended hours, as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

1 year of creating and managing SharePoint sites

3 years of using Microsoft 365 technologies

Experience using Microsoft Power platform applications (Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate)

Knowledge of project management techniques

Knowledge of maintaining SharePoint sites

Knowledge of department and company organizational structure, including roles and responsibilities of key associates

Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Basic skills PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
