What you’ll do: Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end CRM campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Development
Build and maintain scalable solutions using AMPscript, SQL, and APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability
Own full lifecycle delivery: requirements review, build, QA, deployment, and post-launch monitoring
Implement complex journey logic, including entry criteria, suppressions, deduplication, and personalization
Develop and optimize data processes and automations, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business requirements
Perform rigorous QA and validation, including data checks, content proofing, and journey testing
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventative fixes
Review peer code and provide actionable feedback to improve quality and reduce defects
Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Ops, Data, Solution) to deliver high-impact CRM campaigns
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and campaign performance
Own continued delivery of core CRM development – Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript/SSJS, SQL – ensuring agentic capabilities are layered on a stable, high-performing production foundation
Partner with Marketing, Data, Legal/Privacy, and Solution teams to identify high-value agent use cases (welcome journeys, cart recovery, customer service handoffs) and translate them into shipped, measurable workflows
Stay current with the fast-moving Agentforce/LLM landscape and proactively bring forward new capabilities, model updates, and patterns the team should adopt
Comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of the daily development workflow, with sound judgment about when to trust, verify, or override AI-generated code
Practical skill in prompt engineering – writing, testing, and iterating on prompts/instructions for LLM-driven features, with an understanding of grounding, context windows, and hallucination mitigation
Who you are: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development
Strong expertise across: Journey Builder & Automation Studio, AMPscript (required) and SSJS (preferred), SQL for segmentation, validation, and troubleshooting
Deep understanding of SFMC data model: Data Extensions, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder
Experience with API integrations and triggered sends
Proven experience working in production environments with high-volume campaigns
Strong focus on QA, accuracy, and error prevention (pre- and post-send validation)
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across data, automation, and journey layers
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments
Nice to have: Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / CDP
Experience with QA tools such as Litmus
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
