About the Role & Program:

Our Games Audio Production Intern will assist the Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century teams on all aspects of the licensed game audio production process. This includes supporting music, voice-over, and sound design pipelines, participating in audio milestone reviews, and helping consolidate team feedback on sound quality and brand consistency. In this role, there is a heavy focus on administrative and coordination functions related to audio assets and reviews in a fast-paced environment.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area from January to June 2027.

What You Will Do:

As part of our team, you will be responsible for partnering with the Audio Manager, Sound Supervisor, and Producers to deliver innovative, high-quality, and brand-enhancing audio experiences across our interactive portfolio.

On any given day you might:

Support the audio approval process of interactive projects, ensuring timely delivery of technical and creative feedback to external partners

Assist in organizing and tracking audio asset deliveries, including VO scripts, VO recordings, music mockups, final music recordings, video game soundtracks, and sound effects

Participate in audio reviews and functional meetings, capturing notes and tracking follow-up items for the audio team

Support the archiving of audio reference materials, brand guidelines, and master audio assets

Play game development builds specifically to evaluate and generate feedback for music, sound design, and voice-over

Attend VO sessions for Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Games projects

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Basic understanding of audio production workflows, including voice-over, music, and sound design

Strong organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to audio quality details

Proficiency in productivity tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to manage asset trackers and feedback documents

Genuine passion for game audio and an interest in how sound enhances interactive storytelling

Effective relationship-building skills for collaborating with creative leads and external development partners

Familiarity with Lucasfilm, Disney, Pixar, and 20th Century franchises and their iconic soundscapes

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a creative production environment

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Experience with audio database platforms such as SoundMiner or Basehead

Proficiency in Jira, Airtable, and SharePoint

Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) or audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD)

Education:

Current

Junior or Senior

pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Media, Game Design, Music Production, Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or related creative field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship. Core hours in office are 10-4 M-TH and work from home on Fridays.

The dates of this internship are January 25th – June 6th, 2027

Must provide own housing during the internship in the Glendale, CA area

Must have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $23.00 per hour.
