Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $160,000.00 Annually

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Director, Anime Marketing for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The Director is responsible for leading product development, integrated marketing strategy, advertising/promotional recommendations, and profitability for both internal IP and external licensed brands. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for someone looking to drive decision making.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement the global product strategy for a variety of Anime targeted brands in various categories.

Develop and oversee the implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure all product development time lines are adhered to, all details are properly executed, and that all parties are informed of relevant information where required

Work closely with the company’s Sales team, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations

Own the P&L including management of pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU management

Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends, looking for new opportunities to grow the business

Guide cross-functional teams throughout the product development process to ensure brand vision is achieved

Skills & Experience required:

6+ years experience in product development and marketing within a consumer products organization

BA in marketing or related field required

Affinity for Anime, pop culture and a desire to bring properties to life for fans of all ages

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with experience presenting to all levels of management both within the organization and to external partners

Resourceful: able to self-start and get things accomplished with minimal oversight

Work effectively within a team environment

Highly organized and able to multitask

Have a positive, “can do” attitude

Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles

Ideally, have experience in the toy industry or working in an industry that markets kids and distributes to mass merchandisers globally.

Compensation : JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $120,000 - $160,000.
