The Digital Media Coordinator will support the Departments of Anesthesiology and Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine by managing social media, developing digital communications, designing marketing materials, maintaining departmental websites, and providing photography and videography coverage. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the role focuses on advancing the departments' strategic communications goals across multiple digital platforms while collaborating with faculty, staff, and university partners.
Key qualifications Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant communications, marketing, or digital media experience required
Strong written and visual communication skills with proficiency in social media management and graphic design
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) strongly preferred
Website editing experience using content management systems such as WordPress, Mura, Drupal, or Marketing Cloud
Photography, videography, and photo/video editing experience
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced academic environment
