Conservatory Cabaret Creative Director

BERKLEE CONSERVATORY CABARET DIRECTORResponsible for the creative direction of the Conservatory Cabaret. Must produce, direct, teach, and choreograph three productions to be performed throughout the Boston community. In addition, this person(s) is the primary liaison between the CoS and the Cabaret performers.Mission of Cabaret Ensemble: Through the Student Employment Program, students are to be compensated to perform a Cabaret style show at a variety of non-profit institutions such as hospitals, assisted living centers, and schools, bringing the joy of performance to those who do not have regular access to the arts.RESPONSIBILITIES:Must produce, direct, teach, choreograph, and perform in, three cabaret productions to be performed in the Boston community.Assist with marketing and recruitment of Cabaret Ensemble.Work collaboratively with the Musical Director in the creation of performances.Assist the CoS and Musical Director in casting cabaret performers at auditions.Responsible for leadership and supervision of all Cabaret performers.Establish and oversee weekly rehearsals of all Cabaret performers.Represent the Conservatory at all performances in a responsible and mature manner.Additional duties to be assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Strong artistic direction skills - previous experience a plus.Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of a wide variety of song repertoire.Comfortable working in a variety of non-traditional spaces.Strong belief in the mission of the program.Pay Rate: 17.51Hiring Manager: Bridgette Hayes
