Job Description
The Opportunity Versant is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain, and improve critical technology across our corporate, production, data center, and live-event environments. Based on-site in Orlando, Florida, this hands-on role supports a broad technology footprint that includes servers, storage, networking, telecommunications, corporate infrastructure, conference room technology, RF distribution, audiovisual systems, television displays, video conferencing platforms, edit environments, and live production equipment.
You will help keep systems reliable, secure, and operational across daily business activities and time-sensitive production environments. You will work closely with enterprise IT, production teams, facilities, vendors, users, engineers, and operations stakeholders to deliver responsive support and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Why This Role Matters: Reliable technology is essential to both our workplace operations and live sports productions. Your ability to troubleshoot complex issues, maintain critical systems, and support live-event environments will help teams collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality experiences without interruption.
This position requires regular on-site attendance in Orlando and may involve work in offices, conference rooms, studios, data centers, technical operations areas, venues, mobile production units, and temporary event environments. “Remote production” refers to production support at an event or venue and does not mean remote work. The role includes travel and on-call coverage during nights, weekends, holidays, maintenance windows, and live events.
What You'll Do Maintain reliable day-to-day operations across servers, storage, networking, telecommunications, data centers, edit environments, AV systems, conference rooms, RF distribution systems, television displays, and associated physical infrastructure.
Install, configure, upgrade, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on infrastructure and technical equipment across corporate, production, data center, and live-event environments.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, AV, conferencing, RF, television, and production-support issues, responding calmly and effectively during critical meetings and time-sensitive live events.
Prepare, deploy, support, recover, and track equipment used at venues, television production compounds, mobile units, and temporary event locations, including event-based networks, compute resources, communications tools, and video displays.
Partner with enterprise IT, production, operations, facilities, vendors, and users to plan and deliver technology refreshes, room builds, infrastructure improvements, live-event solutions, and operational changes.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including procedures, support runbooks, infrastructure standards, line diagrams, room technology documentation, RF and AV signal-flow diagrams, event workflows, and change records.
Qualifications: Qualifications
What You Bring At least three years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, technical operations, corporate technology, AV support, production technology, or a related technical field.
Ability to work independently with sound judgment while collaborating effectively with enterprise IT, facilities, operations, vendors, users, production teams, and technical staff.
Working knowledge of networking protocols, server hardware, virtualization platforms, storage systems, telecommunications, cabling, physical infrastructure, and operational support practices.
Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting conference room technology, video conferencing systems, televisions, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, codecs, control systems, and related AV infrastructure.
Understanding of AV-over-IP, RF distribution, video routing, audio and video signal flow, television distribution, collaboration technology, and display endpoints.
Experience with data center operations, including rack-mounted equipment, server and storage hardware, networking equipment, power management, cable management, drivers, and firmware.
Experience supporting live events, venue-based technical operations, temporary infrastructure, mobile units, production compounds, studios, edit environments, or comparable production-adjacent settings.
Strong project coordination, organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues, solutions, risks, and operational plans to technical and non-technical partners.
Ability to travel for multi-day or short-notice event assignments and work nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and on-call rotations as operational needs require.
Ability to lift, move, rack, cable, and configure technical equipment in offices, data centers, studios, venues, and temporary production environments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Trust: You act with integrity, protect critical systems and information, follow through on commitments, and build confidence with users and partners.
Teamwork: You collaborate effectively across enterprise IT, production, facilities, operations, vendors, and business teams to solve problems and deliver dependable outcomes.
Transparency: You communicate clearly, document decisions and procedures, raise risks early, and keep stakeholders informed during incidents and project work.
Agility: You remain calm and solutions-oriented while adapting to changing priorities, urgent support needs, maintenance windows, and live-event conditions.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: You take ownership, identify opportunities to improve reliability and the user experience, and proactively develop practical solutions.
Bonus points for: Experience supporting broadcast media, sports production, corporate infrastructure, or live-event technology.
Knowledge of OTT platforms, streaming media devices, digital video workflows, teleprompters, monitoring systems, or IP-based audio and video communications.
Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp, Dell EMC, or comparable systems.
Familiarity with cybersecurity practices in corporate, infrastructure, AV, and production-support environments.
Relevant technical certifications or a bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, broadcast technology, or a related discipline.
Why You’ll Love It Here You’ll work across a diverse technology environment where infrastructure engineering directly supports workplace collaboration, operational continuity, and live sports production. The role offers opportunities to solve varied technical challenges, contribute to high-visibility events, and partner with teams across the organization.
This is an on-site position based in Orlando, Florida. Regular attendance at the designated Versant work site is required.
