Generating approximately $300M in annual revenue, nearly 50% EBITDA margins, and investing roughly $50M annually in marketing, the organization has built its success by leveraging sophisticated customer acquisition strategies across both traditional and digital marketing channels. The business is backed by one of the world's most respected venture capital firms, providing significant resources and a long-term commitment to continued growth.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Chief Marketing Officer will serve as the senior commercial marketing leader for the organization. This individual will play a critical role in transforming the company's marketing function into an increasingly sophisticated growth engine by leading enterprise-wide marketing strategy, media mix optimization, capital allocation, attribution, analytics, and customer acquisition efforts. The position offers significant visibility with executive leadership and institutional investors, along with the opportunity to build a more unified, performance-driven marketing organization capable of supporting the company's continued expansion and long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief Marketing Officer will provide leadership across all core marketing, customer acquisition, and commercial growth functions, including but not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's enterprise-wide marketing strategy, ensuring all traditional and digital marketing investments align with customer acquisition, revenue growth, and overall business objectives
  • Own the strategic deployment of approximately $50M in annual marketing spend across television, radio, billboards, local advertising, SEO, paid search, paid social, performance marketing, and other customer acquisition channels
  • Develop, manage, and continuously optimize media mix, capital allocation, and channel investment strategies to maximize customer acquisition efficiency, return on investment, and incremental revenue generation
  • Establish executive-level reporting around attribution, customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on advertising spend (ROAS), marketing ROI, media effectiveness, conversion performance, and overall marketing efficiency
  • Serve as the executive owner of marketing analytics, attribution modeling, testing methodologies, and performance measurement while driving data-informed decision making across the organization
  • Unify the organization's existing digital, social, and traditional marketing functions under one integrated strategy while strengthening collaboration, accountability, and operational execution across all marketing disciplines
  • Lead relationships with external agencies, media partners, technology vendors, and other third-party marketing resources while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and performance expectations
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to evaluate marketing investment opportunities, prioritize capital deployment, and determine where incremental marketing dollars will generate the greatest commercial return
  • Drive continuous optimization across customer acquisition channels through experimentation, performance analysis, audience segmentation, creative testing, and ongoing media allocation adjustments
  • Develop scalable marketing infrastructure, reporting capabilities, processes, and organizational disciplines capable of supporting continued growth and future expansion initiatives
  • Mentor, develop, and strengthen the marketing organization while fostering a culture of accountability, commercial thinking, continuous improvement, and measurable business performance
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership by providing insight into customer acquisition trends, competitive dynamics, marketing investment opportunities, and long-term commercial strategy

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including significant executive responsibility overseeing enterprise-wide customer acquisition, media strategy, and commercial marketing functions
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale direct-to-consumer marketing organizations with annual marketing budgets ideally exceeding $20M, including responsibility for media allocation, investment strategy, and performance optimization
  • Deep expertise across both traditional media (television, radio, billboards, local advertising) and digital performance marketing (SEO, paid search, paid social, attribution, CRM, analytics, and marketing automation)
  • Proven success developing sophisticated attribution models, marketing analytics frameworks, customer acquisition reporting, executive dashboards, and performance measurement capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing media mix, capital allocation, customer acquisition cost (CAC), marketing ROI, return on advertising spend (ROAS), and other key commercial marketing performance metrics
  • Experience leading cross-functional marketing organizations while integrating multiple marketing disciplines into a unified customer acquisition strategy
  • Demonstrated success managing external agencies, media buying partners, and marketing technology vendors while maintaining accountability for measurable business outcomes
  • Experience operating within high-volume, consumer-facing organizations where marketing serves as the primary engine for customer acquisition and revenue growth
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate marketing investments using an analytical, data-driven approach comparable to broader business capital allocation decisions
  • Ability to balance strategic executive leadership with a highly hands-on approach to marketing optimization, operational execution, and performance improvement
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional partnership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Preferred:

  • Prior experience within venture capital-backed, private equity-backed, or other high-growth, performance-oriented organizations is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading customer acquisition within personal injury, home services, consumer finance, insurance, automotive retail, hospitality, healthcare, or other high-volume direct-to-consumer industries
