Social Media Manager,Broadcast Media-Montana Public Radio
The University of Montana invites applications for a Social Media Manager for Broadcast Media-Montana Public Radio (MTPR). The manager will lead visual direction and hands-on production across broadcast, video, digital,marketingand social media. This creative working manager will turn ideas,messagingand organizational priorities into compelling, polished, on-brand content.
Working across Content and News, Production, Fundraising & Sponsorship and station leadership, this position will help strengthen MTPR's visual identity and audience engagement across platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and organized producer who can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, manage competingprioritiesand help MTPR evolve its visual storytelling in a fast-changing digital landscape.
Responsibilities:

Lead visual direction and creative production across broadcast, digital,marketingand social media
Create graphics, campaign creative, short-formvideoand other visual assets
Translate brand strategy,messagingand content priorities into compelling visual storytelling
Turn MTPR content into engaging social media and digital deliverables
Manage social media campaigns andmaintaina consistent content calendar
Manage multiple projects and deadlines whilemaintainingquality and brand consistency
Stay current with social media trends, platformchangesand emerging creative styles
Position Details:

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field and at least two (2) years of professional design or production experience across multiple platforms, including broadcast/video production, motion graphics, digital and marketing media
Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms for an organization and knowing what performs well on each different platform
Demonstrated project leadership or equivalent experience, including the ability to manage priorities and guide creative work
Demonstrated experience creating and executing visual concepts and design deliverables across a variety of formats, including broadcast, video, digital, socials and marketing materials
Demonstrated experience tracking and interpreting video analytics to inform creative decisions
Strong knowledge of design principles, visual communication, video production design and current design tools and technologies
Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
