Direct Marketing Strategy and Execution Manager - Ripple Fiber Job Location: South Park Home Office - Charlotte, NC 28210
About the Role We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Manager, Direct Marketing Strategy & Execution to own and scale our direct mail channel as a performance marketing engine. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role will lead end-to-end strategy, audience targeting, creative development, and campaign execution - driving measurable customer acquisition and revenue.
Responsibilities Strategy & Channel Ownership Own the direct mail channel strategy, roadmap, and performance against acquisition and revenue goals
Develop audience targeting frameworks and segmentation strategies to improve response and conversion rates
Identify market opportunities and competitive dynamics to inform campaign strategy
Campaign Execution & Operations Manage and maintain all triggered direct mail creative, workflows, and deployment timelines
Lead end-to-end campaign execution including audience selection, offer strategy, creative development, print production, and distribution
Ensure accuracy of data, segmentation logic, and campaign setup across all executions
Audience Segmentation & Personalization Build and refine segmented audiences leveraging CRM and behavioral data
Partner with analytics and data teams to define targeting criteria, TAM sizing, and performance expectations
Drive personalization strategies that increase engagement and response rates
Testing & Optimization Design and execute structured A/B and multivariate testing (creative, offer, timing, audience)
Implement test-and-learn frameworks to continuously improve campaign performance
Analyze incrementality and attribution to optimize spend and scale winning strategies
Analytics & Reporting Analyze campaign performance (response rate, conversion, CAC, ROI) and provide actionable insights
Develop reporting frameworks in partnership with analytics and CRM teams (HubSpot, BI tools)
Translate data into clear recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Online Marketing Strategy and execution Manager to build necessary workflows and automations.
Partner with copywriters and creative teams to develop high-performing direct mail assets
Collaborate with digital marketing and sales teams to align campaigns with broader go-to-market strategy
Work closely with CRM (HubSpot) and analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
Coordinate with vendors (print, data, logistics) to ensure seamless execution
Compliance & Quality Control Ensure all campaigns meet regulatory, legal, and brand standards
Maintain data integrity and list hygiene across all mail programs
Core Skills & Competencies Performance Marketing Mindset: Deep understanding of direct response KPIs (ROI, CAC, conversion rates)
Data & Analytics: Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel required, experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
Segmentation & Targeting: Experience building and optimizing audience strategies using CRM data
Test & Learn Expertise: Proven ability to design and scale A/B testing frameworks
Marketing Automation & CRM: Hands-on experience with platforms like HubSpot or similar
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple campaigns and timelines with precision
Creative Judgment: Strong eye for effective direct response creative and messaging
Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to influence stakeholders across marketing, data, and sales
Vendor Management: Experience working with print, data, and mailing vendors
Experience & Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in direct mail, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or performance marketing
Proven track record managing data-driven marketing campaigns end-to-end
Experience with direct mail or offline channels strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Experience in telecom, subscription, or high-growth DTC environments is a plus
Success Metrics (KPIs) Cost per acquisition (CPA) and return on ad spend (ROAS)
Response and conversion rates by campaign
Lift from A/B testing and optimization initiatives
Campaign execution accuracy and on-time delivery
Contribution to overall customer acquisition and revenue
