Position Overview
We are seeking a Content SEO Specialist to support SEO and AI Discovery initiatives across a portfolio of streaming and digital entertainment properties.

This role will focus on content strategy, keyword research, on-page optimization, editorial support, and search performance analysis. The SEO Specialist will work closely with Editorial, Content Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Social Media, PR, Localization, Product, and Analytics teams to improve content visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

The ideal candidate is a content-focused SEO professional with strong communication skills, excellent editorial judgment, and hands‑on experience optimizing large‑scale websites. A passion for SEO, entertainment, streaming, editorial content, and the evolving search landscape is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct keyword, topic, and competitive research to support landing pages, editorial content, title launches, sports events, go‑to‑market initiatives, and content calendar prioritization.

Provide SEO guidance for:

Landing page and in-product copy

Titles and descriptions

Meta descriptions

Movie and series descriptions

Clip descriptions

Headings

Image alt attributes

Internal links

Content formatting

Support editorial content programs through SEO brief development, brief review, writer feedback, content optimization, and recommendations for updates or revisions.

Monitor editorial and content performance using

Google Search Console

and other SEO tools to identify emerging topics, refresh opportunities, and optimization priorities.

Serve as an SEO point of contact for Editorial, Content Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Localization teams.

Provide SEO copy refinement and examples when needed, balancing search best practices with brand voice, audience needs, and business objectives.

Make content updates through CMS platforms and conduct content audits covering HTML titles, meta descriptions, headings, links, image attributes, formatting, semantic keyword usage, and other on‑page SEO elements.

Support international and multi-language SEO initiatives, including localized keyword research, international rank tracking, localized content guidance, translation workflows, and coordination with localization partners.

Develop templates, keyword targeting frameworks, and content best practices to scale SEO optimization across markets, languages, and page types.

Apply semantic SEO, NLP‑driven optimization, and answer‑focused content strategies to improve visibility across search engines and emerging AI discovery platforms.

Support optimization for Google News and other content discovery surfaces.

Monitor content visibility, mentions, citations, and performance across emerging AI search and discovery platforms.

Partner with Marketing, Social Media, and PR teams to align off‑site messaging and language with SEO and AI Discovery objectives.

Participate in title launches, go‑to‑market initiatives, and sports event planning to identify SEO opportunities and content needs.

Stay current on developments in SEO, editorial strategy, AI search, content discovery, and digital marketing.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Content SEO and/or Editorial SEO.

Strong understanding of content SEO fundamentals, including:

Keyword research

Search intent

Metadata

Headings

Internal linking

Image optimization

Content formatting

On‑page SEO

Hands‑on experience using

Google Search Console

to analyze content performance and identify optimization opportunities.

Experience conducting keyword research and competitive analysis using tools such as

Semrush, Google Trends, Google Search Console , or similar platforms.

Experience creating and reviewing SEO content briefs and providing actionable feedback to writers.

Ability to optimize editorial and landing page content for search performance while maintaining brand voice and audience relevance.

Familiarity with semantic SEO, NLP‑based content optimization, entity‑driven SEO, and content designed for answer extraction or AI‑assisted discovery.

Experience supporting content calendars, topic ideation, content prioritization, and performance‑based content updates.

Experience working cross‑functionally with Editorial, Content Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Social Media, PR, Localization, and Analytics teams.

Experience making content updates through

CMS platforms .

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple content requests, stakeholder needs, and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on large‑scale websites.

Experience within streaming, entertainment, media, publishing, or digital content.

Familiarity with WordPress and Yoast.

Familiarity with Google News and other content discovery best practices.

Understanding of AI Discovery, including LLM citations, AI search visibility, answer engine optimization, and how editorial content can influence mentions and source references.

Experience supporting international or multi‑language SEO, including localized keyword research, international rank tracking, translation workflows, and localization partnerships.

Familiarity with Adobe Analytics.

A second language is a plus, but not required.
